FAQ’s & Studio Policies
You’ve got questions… We’ve got answers!
I’ve never done Reformer Pilates before. Is that ok?
Of course! Every class is open level and provides options for newer clients as well as more advanced. We do ask that you come 10 min early to your first class to get acquainted with your instructor and the equipment.
Is this Classical Pilates?
No. We are a Contemporary Pilates Studio offering contemporary and innovative Reformer workouts set to fun high energy music.
Do I need dance background to take Barre?
Absolutely not! While Barre draws on some dance & ballet principles it is 100% NOT a dance class. The killer music may make you feel like getting your groove on, though, and we won’t stop you! 😉
How long are classes?
All classes are 45 min.
How do I book a class?
All booking should be done in advance via our website. Class space is limited and there is no guarantee you will have a spot as a walk-in.
What if I have to cancel my class?
We understand that life can be unpredictable. Thank you for respecting our safety policy and honoring our strict 12 hour cancellation policy for all bookings. Please note that all cancellations or changes received via email are not valid. All cancellations or changes must be made online at least 12 hours prior to your booking to avoid forfeiting your credit.
Early Cancellations: Cancellations or changes made before 12 hours of the booking time are considered early cancellations and are eligible for a full credit.
Late Cancellations: Cancellations or changes made within 12 hours of the class time are considered late cancellations and will result in loss of class credit.
No Show: If you do not cancel your class and do not show up you will incur a $10 Now Show fee.
What if I am running late?
For safety reasons, no one will be permitted into class more than 5 min after start time. Please try to be at the studio at least 5 min before class to ensure a seamless check in and set up process.
What is the best way to contact the studio?
Email info@thereformlab.com to get in touch with us! We aren’t able to answer the phone while classes are in session.
What if I am on the Waitlist?
If a class you want to take is full, please add yourself to the waitlist! Things always come up and people need to cancel so there is a good chance you will make it into the class. If you are on the waitlist we are assuming you plan to take the class if you get in, and you will automatically be added to class if a space opens up, so please remove yourself if you are no longer able to make it. You will be notified via email if you are moved into the class.
What is the difference between a membership and a class pack?
Memberships are our monthly auto-renew options and have a 2 month minimum commitment. We have several options (4,8,12,& 16X/month), so you can find the perfect fit for you. They provide the best value and keep you accountable, so you can reach your goals. You also receive member perks like a welcome gift, 1 free late cancel/month, and 10% off select retail.
Packages are a certain number of classes you have to use in a 6 month period of time. We have 10 and 20 pack options. These are one time purchase and do not auto renew. Perfect if you want the convenience of easy booking, but not the commitment of a membership.
What if I want to take an extra class in the month?
If you are on a Membership and want to take an extra class beyond your membership allotment, you can book a drop in for $25.
What if I want to pause my membership?
Memberships can be paused up to 2 times/year for up to 3 months. Email info@thereformlab.com BEFORE your bill date to set this up. Pause requests made after the bill date will be applied to the following month. No refunds or transfers.
What if I want to cancel my membership?
Memberships can be canceled anytime after month 2, up to 1 day before bill date on our website. Cancellations after the bill date will be applied to the following month. No refunds.
What do I need to bring for class?
All you need is water, grip socks and yourself! We are a shoeless studio. Grip socks are required for all workouts. They are for sale in the studio or you’re welcome to bring your own. Please wear comfortable form fitting clothing so nothing gets caught in the equipment.
Why do you require Grip Socks?
Grip socks are required for both safety and sanitary reasons. Wearing them helps you stay strong on the equipment and helps us keep the studio and equipment as clean as possible for everyone.
Can I have my phone in class?
We would love for you to take the 45 min you’re with us as a chance to unplug and leave your cell phone in your locker. If you need to keep it with you, it must be on SILENT (not vibrate) and tucked away. Should you need to take an emergency call, we ask that you step outside to answer.
Can I bring my kids with me?
We love kids, but for safety reasons, cannot accommodate kids sitting in the waiting area while a caregiver takes class. No kids under the age of 16 are allowed in class with the exception of baby + me classes.
Can I bring my dog with me?
Registered service animals are welcome in the studio anytime, but otherwise we ask that you leave your fur babies at home.
Who cleans the equipment?
At the end of each class, clients are responsible for wiping down their own reformer or mat with the EPA approved antibacterial wipes provided. The equipment is also cleaned by our staff at the end of each day.
Can I take class if I am pregnant?
Absolutely! Provided you have been cleared by your doctor to do physical activity, you are welcome to take any class, but please make sure to talk to the instructor beforehand to get the modifications you need.
What age is Baby + Me for?
6 weeks to crawling. Once babies are on the move it’s not safe for them to be on the equipment or roaming around the studio.
Can I bring a friend to class?
Yes please! You can gift a class for a friend anytime. Or you can share your unique referral link to earn $ when your friend purchases a package or membership.
Do you offer Private Sessions?
